Turf Club

Last Friday nite, there was a media event by SPH held on Singapore Turf Club. My colleagues we actually went as I have never been there so it was an exploration.



The turf club is located at West side of Singapore close to Johor Bahru, M'sia. Well, it took us an hour and half to reach the place. It sounded a bit exaggerate as how big is Singapore. Our taxi supposed arrived in 7 min, we waited him for 25 min (Fri nite jam in CBD). After all, we asked the driver for the fastest way to reach there and to avoid jam on the highway. However, the taxi driver indeed was very smart took the longest way that by the time we reached, we missed 2 races out of 10.



My other colleagues had actually started to bet with win and loses..... ^.^



The club was quite huge but it was a dissapointed to me as it turn out not to be as glamorous as i expected. Indeed, it was still quite an experience.



As we were in the VIP room, thus we get to see the overview quite clear instead of squeezing down there with desperate sweaty uncles in an open air.



The horses were quite amazing but they're all skinny type. Surprisingly, the seemed to be drank horses, which we think will not make it to the race ended winning most of the races ckckck.... This prove that when you are betting sixth sense itself is not good enough.


There was a few tips given by the columnist for us to bet. What they have predicted did win the race but the return investment was not high. So, people are trying to be risky and lose more. I did not bet so I neither lose or win.



Now I can proudly say that i have been to the turf club located at Kranji hehehe....

I have a feeling of abusing my ears by listening to my bro's chicken scream on his latest new songs collection which include one Jap song. Recently his taste of songs are a bit out of the circle.

In fact, i don't ignore usually he sings such a good song, but today he is just terrible. Watching him screaming in live motion is like riding a bumpy coaster in a rock n roll concert.

His voices is just too sexy till the Skype disconnect by itself.... ckckck

Let me say something about the title, why it is so hard to pronounce, well it's French, i couldn't recall French is an easy language to learn, so we have to do a bit tounge exercise here ckckck....

The name itself is originated from a French stewed veggie dish. Nope it isn't because the rat prepare the dish so it's call ratatouille... ^.^

The main ingredient of the dish is tomatoes, herbs, zucchini, peppers (green, red, yellow, orange), basil, and olive oil. Usually it is served with bread, potatoes, or rice.

I believe all is agreed Pixar has never dissapointed us with its amazing animations. The great part I like on Pixar is there is always a moral of the show in their storyline.

The show basically shows the idea of to stay perseverance of the right thing. Whilst, it perfectly disguise the nature of human ego. Each character resemble different personality which is shown thru their behavior that links to our daily lifestyle.

Well, I would not say so much to spoil the idea, but there are few things that you guys should pay attention:

- The humor scenes and sarcastic comments.

- Joystick on Linguini's hair

- Rats trying to steal the food and preparing the food

- My Fave character: Collette

Ok, please be prepared for a bunch of rats swarming around > which i think a bit icky and creepy.

The website is a must visit, if you are an online game addictives, especially to Cooking Mamas and Cooking games. It's just so fun to play around..... I had spend a few hours fooling around in it....

Two words to describe: Thumbs Up !!!

Mission - Accomplished?

On 1st Jan 07 while everybody was having a hangover, a gal was on her flight return to Singapore has energically setting a few missions to be accomplished in 2007:
- To convert my driving license
- To stay healthy

Time flies as nobody's business, it is now July and none of them is accomplished.I am telling myself: "Vera, what have you done?" Well, in a guilt sense, I replied with quite a few good excuses:
- Will accomplish after Lunar New Year
- Italy trip was on the way
- I was going to step to Tokyo for the first time in my life to meet Lucy......
- Work had been piling up since May....
- Spending high quality time with parents.

Overall, one thing at least I am proud is I have managed to find tennis buddy to play tennis and it has been going on for 3 weeks..... ^.^
Our target is to be like Amelie Mauresmo or Maria Sharapova ckckck.....

Finally.....

Finally after so many attempts, I have decided to start a blog in Blogger despite of all other spaces which i tried out. Again... following my bro's step (i felt into his crutches again, he might be proudly declare himself as a winner while reading this...) sigh.....

I have so many things to shout yet a limited time for me to share...
